While I was able to connect with my laptop & successfully print, I thought the problem was solved. However, I then tried to connect the printer to my desktop computer (which is also running windows 10) where I will normally have it hooked up. In this case, when downloading the drivers & associated software from the HP support site, I had the same problem as I experienced with the laptop.that is, the installation went fine until it got to the point of asking to connect the USB.then it seems to not recognize the connection & will not finalize the installation.just gives a box to continue without the connection & connect the computer later. Unlike with my laptop, the desktop will not print..I just get a printer error message.
